WHO WE ARE

Calvary Bible Church began in 1959 as a home Bible study group. This group grew in number and formed a church, which first met in homes, then in a local rented meeting hall. The present church building was constructed in 1960 using volunteer labor from church members, on two lots that were donated by a church member. Our mission has been through the past 50+ years, and still remains, to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our community first, and through our missions outreach, with the world. Within our church family, our focus is on growing in our relationships with our Lord through study of the scriptures, praying and encouraging one another, and sharing one another's burdens.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The Bible tells us that we CAN know that we are going to Heaven when we die.

God loves you (John 3:16)
All of us have sinned (Romans 3:23)
Sin separates us from God (Isaiah 59:1,2)
We can't earn Heaven (Ephesians 2:8,9)
 Christ died in our place for our sins (Romans 5:8)
 You can put your trust in Christ now (John 1:12)
 
Pray --talk to Jesus--right now, asking Him to forgive your sins and make you His child.  Trust Him, He will do it! (Romans 10:13)
 
After you have trusted Christ, to grow as a Christian you should:
Pray often (Luke 18:1)
Read God's Word, the Bible (1 Timothy 2:15)
Serve the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:19, 20)
Assemble with fellow believers in a Bible-believing church (Hebrews 10:25)
